From Melgaço, modern roads take us through stunning mountains, hills, valleys, plains and slopes.

The National Park of Peneda-Gerês in northern Portugal is characterized by the diversity of ecosystems, both fauna and flora little changed by man over centuries.

Nature in layers. The vines might have lost their foliage, but the surrounding nature remains constantly green.

Vast green pastures guarantee a quiet and comfortable life for the animals. The local cheese is of excellence quality thanks to this.

These were the first vines planted at the Soalheiro winery.

Castro Laboreiro, with an altitude of over 1,000 meters, a rough terrain and harsh weather has never been an easy place for its inhabitants.

The change between the "brandas" located at higher altitudes and the "inverneiras" found in more sheltered areas at lower altitudes represent the transhumance in Castro Laboreiro.
